  17. ...and one last tip: only Americans use 'resume'. It's 'CV' over here - and never put 'curriculum vitae' at the top. Ever. Your name. Only.
  18. Spell checking your CV and covering letter is all very well as long as you're not using a U.S. dictionary when applying for a U.K. job...
  19. ...another favourite (see what I added there?) is 'light' not 'lite'. Blame Prince Albert: not just Christmas trees but German 'licht'...
  20. Classic FM: today is National Punctuation Day in the U.S. Lesson 1: In the UK, it is '-ise' and not '-ize'. Lesson 2: 'Scots' not 'Scotch'.
