  1. @autumnspirit I really would love to, but I just don't have one. :-(Eastsound, WA 98245, USA
  2. http://twitpic.com/r8eyx - Can't beat this view.
  3. @overtfascist Awesome, I'll have a look. The G1 Edge internets slow things down a bit, though. :-)
  4. @jackiea I think they sell it at the liquor store, next to the rum.
  5. @jackiea Fake poinsettias? The real ones are bad enough... :-(
  6. @mckt_ I hear that.
  7. @shmeeny Yup, still working with Adam at PNNL. It's a pretty cool place to work. :-)
  8. @shmeeny Awesome. From what I hear, that's one of the better places to work in Bellingham.
  9. @hmjgriffon Just normal. I play games for fun and storyline, not to beat my head against a brick wall. ;-)
  10. Just finished Halo 3: ODST. Very nice game. Great storytelling, and incredible voice acting. :-) (lookin' at you, @nathanfillion)
  11. @shmeeny Who are you working for these days?
  12. @ioerror It's almost as if LJ is trying to prevent the free flow of data, and the internet routs around it. Actually, it's exactly that.
  13. @dakami Out of curiosity, at what point does Python not scale as a language?
  14. @DidierStevens A chastity belt, to prevent it from forking?
  15. @BIOSShadow To debug: install firebug, open the net tab, use its menu to disable the browser cache, and refresh. Shows graph of load times.
  16. @BIOSShadow Actually, with a few refreshes, it looks like you've just got some really unpredictable performance across the board.
  17. @BIOSShadow Took 1.96s for me. Looks like the vast majority of the time is spent downloading google analytics stuff, particularly __utm.gif.
  18. @schottac That's one of the joys of highly inefficient code.
  19. @BIOSShadow Yeah, unless you're media heavy, most websites don't really need to break the 100 MB mark.
  20. @BIOSShadow Wow that's a lot, or wow that's a little?
