  1. Finally! Awards season kicks into high gear tomorrow with an 11am screening of ARMORED.
  2. @kphipps3000 They have offices?
  3. "Tarantino may have called his agent…to kibbutz." Think Jeff Wells means "kibitz," but am secretly hoping QT runs a communal farm in Israel.
  4. THE LOVELY BONES, then Film Forum.
  5. Holding down the fort at my high school newspaper reunion. Everyone has bailed (just like at the high school newspaper).
  6. @TimeOutFilm (Also, I'm just giving you a hard time. I can definitely understand disliking this film.)
  7. @TimeOutFilm I think he's only interested in genre as a starting point. A conventional version of THE BOX wouldn't be very interesting.
  8. At Midway. New York tweeps, I'm headed your way.
  9. @Marcusist I'm not making this up. Served with whipped cream, ideally.
  10. @TimeOutFilm It really needed a few iguanas.
  11. @TimeOutFilm You lost me at "liked KNOWING."
  12. @Marcusist No votes for Jägermeister?
  13. @jamesrocchi Oh c'mon. Name me one Joe Dante film that's a chore to watch. (Okay, maybe EXPLORERS.)
  14. @TimeOutFilm To clarify: I'm not questioning Tom H's capacity to like an art film; I'm just saying that THE BOX flouts genre conventions.
  15. @TimeOutFilm Not surprising about the genre apologist (I assume you mean Huddleston?). That middle section is basically an all-out art film.
  16. @TimeOutFilm Isn't that a cool film? At the risk of ridicule, I'll admit that I liked it even more the second time.
  17. @mattsinger Um, talk to me after you've seen the film.
  18. @mattsinger The way to guard against this would be to force you to pay my airfare. I would do it under those circumstances. Start a pool.
  19. OUT 1. BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ. INLAND EMPIRE. And now… @mattsinger 's ironic OLD DOGS event? #moviesforwhichiveboardedplanes
  20. @mattsinger Yes! But it was 12.5 hours long. And directed by Rivette. (I'll be in NYC this wknd, actually, so we *could* make this happen.)
