  1. Agreed. RT @natpryce: Premature flexibility is the root of even more evil in software.
  2. Lol! RT @energizr: offshoring is directly proportional to failure
  3. @gasproni Yes, I think most of my reading is pre-Agile in fact: Ohno, Deming, Scholtes, Wheeler, Joiner, Gilb etc.
  4. Read Herzberg's classic "One more time: How do you motivate employees" on the way home. Now over 40 years old! http://bit.ly/7uRXtw
  5. Finally reading Gary Klein's "Sources of Power: How People Make Decisions." Really enjoying it.
  6. Me too! RT @mhsutton: On train to London for the awesome improv for coaches workshop ... a welcome opp to play #acguk
  7. Like @kjscotland I downloaded the new BBC iPlayer on the Wii (1st time I turned it on in 12mths). Makes up for switching from Virgin to Sky
  8. RT @channingwalton: Is waterfall the only process that managers consider failure to be acceptable? "we will get it right next time".
  9. I get so into books. I spent all day pretending I was John Boyd fighting the system and inventing brilliant concepts like the OODA loop.
  10. @jasongorman me too! Very, very happy to no longer have that title
  11. @jasongorman What do you think of the idea of treating the architecture as an opinion/hypothesis that needs to be verified/tested asap?
  12. @marcjohnson I spend a lot of time thinking about @snowded's ideas; check out his podcasts - ex learning resources
  13. @marcjohnson agree that communication is the key. Can think of many ways of splitting tasks depd'ng on context (value vs risk vs feedback)
  14. Interesting talk by @lukehohmann at #xtc tonight. A bit surprised he hadn't heard of @snowded or his work.
  15. @marcjohnson I've been ruminating on this problem all week. 5 devs are swarming on a Feature using BDD stories on wiki w dev tasks in Jira.
  16. @geekphilosophy My favourite Deming introduction book is "4 Days with Dr Deming"
  17. @geekphilosophy As @glynlumley says 'understanding variation' is good. My fav is Joiner's 4th Gen Mgmt for the expl of comm/spec cause var'n
  18. Salt beef and pastrami sandwich at Selfridge's. Feel like a tourist in my own town. http://yfrog.com/jbwd2j
  19. @cmshinkle I love that Twitter allows people with similar ('niche') passions like stats and SPC charts to connect. Are you going to #lssc10?
  20. Few tweets today as I've been ploughing through Robert Coram's biography of John Boyd as recommend by @DReinertsen. Very enjoyable read.
