  1. @wadeis Looking forward to some tests where we have a computer at both ends — the ubnts are reporting ~ 160Mbit sync. Souds promising :)
  2. @wadeis Over 500m, cat | ssh to the ubnt was 1.3MB/sec sustained. Suspect the bottlenecks were obstructions (a chimney) or ubnt CPU.
  3. Really really impressed with these Ubiquiti wifi units @nodecity are using. The web interface has realtime throughput graphs using <canvas>!
  4. @bjeanes Also I changed from my git*-style aliases (e.g. gitc = git commit) to g*. Most common ones are two chars. Working really well.
  5. @bjeanes I've done a lot of dot-files tweaking since railscamp. New experiments: ls-on-cd, and l, s, d for ls, git status & git diff.
  6. Look out, Mr Rudd—the Liberals are BACK! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWqlPyRVCmQ&fmt=22 (via @matholroyd)
  7. IT'S PIZZA DAY! Leftover @inspire9 pizza for early lunch, café pizza for late lunch, and Mountain Goat pizza for dinner.
  8. @tomhoward @nedwin I want one now, but my house isn't nearly big enough. Do they have bonsai ones? :)
  9. @johnbarton Awesome news! @glenmaddern _o/
  10. @jms_ No way, I don't want "git init" happening automatically. I can't imagine when it would help, only when it would confuse :)
  11. @lachlanhardy It probably just needs a little bit of use to learn. I consistently get domains I've visited before first in the list.
  12. @lachlanhardy The Chromium nightlies are way ahead of Chrome, but I don't know about the bar specifically.
  13. @lachlanhardy Chromium's address bar is better than AwesomeBar. Yeah I went there. :)
  14. The other thing waf made really easy was cleaning up fish's source, which was all in one directory before. http://bit.ly/5FyZhr
  15. @elliottcable According to this post it is, I haven't done any more reading yet. http://bit.ly/7Ue4nj
  16. This is what GNU make should have been from the start—my fish fork is building with waf now: http://vimeo.com/7920727
  17. So, did @drnic bring the lols in Brisbane last night?
  18. @jms_ Haha, I'd be "git init"ing all over the shop with that alias. :)
  19. @ryan_allen Oh man, it's looking so awesome. Can't wait to hack on it. NodeCamp! :)
  20. @lstoll They're using web inspector (which is really good now), but their impl is buggy atm. I'm still using WebKit nightlies for dev.
