  1. Spring is kind of freaky...its like it knew what feature I wanted and silently added it! Apparently SPR-6565 already essentially existed!
  2. upgraded #jasig #cas to use Bean Validation API for validating bean dependencies at Dependency Injection.
  3. thinks this might be a simple useful addition to Spring... https://jira.springsource.org/browse/SPR-6565 (not that I'm biased...)
  4. Jasig Spring 2010 Conference Registration NOW OPEN! http://bit.ly/7oanzs Rod Johnson and Justin Erenkrantz to speak!
  5. maybe he'll start a band next... http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Movies/12/01/alec.baldwin.quits/index.html
  6. wonders if there is a special place in hell for those of us who use ThreadLocal to get around design limitations...
  7. really wishes that @Resource worked with constructors or that @Named did what resource was supposed to do. My good form has been ruined!
  8. java annotations and Twitter don't really mix very well unless you want to start mentioning people who's names match annotations.
  9. apparently javax.inject was really serious when it said don't use @Named when you meant to use @Resource...
  10. #jasig #cas Community Call notes: http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/CAS/2009-11-18+Community+Call
  11. Just replaced most of my Spring @Autowired annotations with @Inject. No good replacement for @Autowired(required=false) in sight...
  12. writing up some information on how the paranoid person would hand out personal information to external partners
  13. OpenRegistry 0.1-M2 release: http://tinyurl.com/yghls5s #jasig #openregistry
  14. @daveoflynn is that a hint that they're not going to turn on the heat?
  15. CAS Server 3.3.5 released: http://bit.ly/1mpbpy #jasig #cas
  16. wishes someone had asked his opinion before they went and designed the JPA2 Criteria Builder...
  17. Upgrading #openregistry to JPA 2, Hibernate 3.5-beta2 and hoping to use the Criteria API which supposedly should work. In theory.
  18. @daveoflynn Yeah, I was hoping to avoid the RAM upgrade. It also sucks up PermGen like no one's business.
  19. IntelliJ is ridiculously awesome but at the moment it is bringing my 2GB Macbook Pro to its knees.
