  1. My biggest problem with Linux usability? Buttons and borders are, without exception, too big by default in every theme, app and widget set.
  2. @olabini - you only think you need LALR; good error recovery will be painful. That's presuming you value parse quality.
  3. Niche humour: http://lambda-the-ultimate....
  4. Heh. A brief editing session with googlePrivacy and I have myGooglePrivacy, which just kills link tracking. GreaseMonkey FTW.
  5. googlePrivacy greasemonkey script is much better, but the killed cookie breaks my google.com preference over .co.uk. Can't have everything.
  6. GoogleFX makes Google search results look like domain parking pages.
  7. GoogleFX - ok, it can remove link tracking, but it makes Google look even uglier - way uglier.
  8. Google and their slow-ass servers are really really annoying me today. Oh, search is ok, but everything else is sucking horribly.
  9. Arrghhhhhhhh! Google link tracking (rewriting links in search page results) is DRIVING ME UP THE WALLS
  10. @codinghorror - it works best if you've got your log files split up, rather than humongous text fies to begin with.
  11. @codinghorror - bash & grep, fork (& in bash) and join (wait in bash).
  12. End of edge case (http://bit.ly/15wh02): not so much. Edge cases ~= surface area / userbase. More complicated app still has edge cases.
  13. People (http://bit.ly/dUTgn) who do parsing using regular expressions often make me despair...
  14. Chrome OS (http://bit.ly/rjHTg) quote: "We hear a lot from our users..." - I have no idea how, it's almost impossible to talk to Google.
  15. Gosh but Google's link tracking on search results is infuriating. It adds at least 3 seconds for me. CustomizeGoogle not working anymore...
  16. AudioBoo is an impressive concept. Audio twitter snippets, effectively. Audioboo.fm
  17. Figured out my FF 3.5 bug; caused by double-middle-click (ie hands-free scrolling cancelled on the scroll indicator); breaks a-link cursor.
  18. Firefox 3.5 bug: periodically, hyperlinks no longer indicate with a 'hand' cursor, and instead flicker and end up on a pointer cursor.
  19. I guess I probably would need to switch to OAuth, and stop this Bash/wget tomfoolery I'm currently using.
  20. My Twitter status updates now indicate they are from 'API' (like any good programmer's updates should), but I can't see how to change it.
