  1. somewhat late in the day ... discovering I actually like Captain Beefheart
  2. Bothered by talk re #agile vs #lean . I see a need 4 a new brand, but can someone explain how lean is inconsistent with http://is.gd/5ah6R
  3. since attending #leankanbanx I think we're going to start doing the daily standup by work item, not by person. can see all sorts of benefits
  4. RT @hemalkuntawala "Inspection to find defects is waste, inspection to *prevent* defects is essential" | I wish I had this quote 2 weeks ago
  5. This looks like being good video for agile/lean devs from Mary Poppendieck http://tr.im/GpM7 (via @hemalkuntawala ) #lean #simplicity
  6. @AmazonGrace you have my sympathy ... been there, done that. (re: Everyone's lack of planning is my emergency and I don't like it. )
  7. @skirk now have more of a #systemsthinking perspective on those issues thanks to @benjaminm in particular ... #redbeanexperiment
  8. @skirk we had some major issues that I regarded as non-systemic, and caused me to question the 95%/5% assertion #redbeanexperiment
  9. .@skirk pragmatic advice from @benjaminm: for alleged 'non-systemic' issue, how can u adapt the system to cope ? #redbeanexpermiment
  10. .@skirk for 1, interesting chats with @benjaminm & @lunivore on approach to the 5% of issues that seem 2 b non-systemic #redbeanexpermiment
  11. surprisingly (again) I learnt more from the #redbeanexperiment seeing it the second time ... different observations afterward. #leankanbanx
  12. great talks from everyone today at #leankanbanx ... lots of stuff to try back at work ... #kanban #lean
  13. RT @lunivore New blog post - Estimation anti-patterns, including Fractal, Star-Trek and M25: http://is.gd/581XN
  14. Nice surprise ... I have a gig tomorrow night with @blueskiwi at Ain't Nothin' But :)
  15. @flowchainsensei suspect you & I think the same way, & it's the existence of a separate 'inspect for defects' function that's the real evil
  16. @flowchainsensei I'm all for prevention (defects), but isn't the optimal solution the developer inspecting for defects as he works ?
  17. @flowchainsensei re counter-intuitive & lean: I'm not a complete stranger to #lean thinking, but I will re-read the Poppendiecks on testing
  18. @flowchainsensei with emphasis on the 'ALL'
  19. @flowchainsensei my choice of phrase may not be relevant. But ... to me 'ALL inspection to find defects is waste' seems counter-intuitive
  20. @flowchainsensei is that a reference to exploratory testing ?
