  1. No surprise being passed by a Brewster Tour Bus. But in the USA between the Border and Shelby, MT?
  2. Back and unpacked from 6 wk trailer vacation with 11 days in Banff after stop in Las Vegas for a funeral. Ready to repack and go back.
  3. Thu: This is our last of 11 days in Banff. As always, we had a great time. We leave with a great sense of sadness. 11 days is not enough.
  4. Thu: Visited Banff Whyte Museum with exhibits of Robert Bateman, Charles Wolcott, and Norman Luxton. Quiz. You know who they are, right?
  5. Thu: Moose ate at Banff Fairmont Springs Hotel Pantry and people watched the lobby activity. Ham & Brie, and Smoked Salmon sandwiches.
  6. Thu: Photographed Banff Cascade Mountain waterfall across from Cascade Pond. Also meadow where they trained thousands of cadets.
  7. Wed: Roamed through the Banff Industrial Park to find a car wash. A different and interesting view of Banff.
  8. Wed: Moose ate at Banff Melissa's Missteak restaurant. A grill Coho Salmon and a steak sandwich.
  9. Wed: Took Discover Banff Tours "Discover Banff & Its Wildlife" Guide Hugh Johnston did an outstanding job.
  10. Tue: Loudest lighting strike we ever heard and thunder reflecting off Banff Rundle Mountain. No electricity. Quite a night in the trailer.
  11. Bear rescue. Bear cut off three women hikers along Banff Bow river and wasn't going away. Float guide ferried them to other side of river.
  12. Took Banff Rocky Mountain Raft tour float trip down Bow River. Saw bear. Guide said it was only 3rd one in a thousand trips.
  13. No one at Banff Information could identify the mountain on our business card. Later a Discover Banff guide said it was Wilson Mt.
  14. Tue: Moose ate at the Dairy Queen in the Cascade Mall. Chicken wrap and a burger.
  15. Mon: Picnic at our favorite spot in Banff, the Bow Lake picnic area. Clark Nutcrackers, Ravens, Ducks and Crasher Squirrel where our guests.
  16. Mon: Were last customers in the Lake Moraine Lodge Cafe Deli and had patio to ourselves for a beautiful view of the lake and mountain peaks.
  17. Mon: Drove Bow Valley Parkway to Lake Louise and then Icefields Parkway to the Icefield Centre. This is our favorite drive we take each yr.
  18. Sun: Visited Luxton Buffalo Nations Museum. Very worthwhile if you have any interest in native culture.
  19. Sun: Bought "Men of the Mountains" and "Tales from the Rockies" at The Bear and the Butterfly for Banff reading.
  20. Sun: Did laundry and got caught up on Internet mail.
