  1. And BTW, I was a developer, so I think I'm allowed to rip them more than those who have not been in their shoes. :)
  2. This stored procedure I'm diagnosing now is making my eyes bleed. Why can't developers think about more than just getting code out?
  3. Thank you find, grep, and #perl. You have just saved me from having to manually edit one line in ~120 files in ~120 different directories!
  4. I heart the "EXECUTE AS" functionality in SQL 2005+. Very good for limiting access for users.
  5. I want a laptop that doesn't give me 2nd degree burns when sitting on my lap. Any suggestions?
  6. There are fewer sounds that are nicer in the world than a baby laughing. Even better when it's your own!
  7. If today wasn't a Friday, it would have been a downright awful day. But because it is Friday, it was merely a slightly bad day. TGIF.
  8. Server #fail... can't access my home server at all, which means no task list today. Glad I do write some stuff down in my notebook at least.
  9. Oh BIDS, how thou dost vex me. How hard should it be to change a graph label? I mean, really?
  10. @warwickp Thx! I'll try and include more of that type of tweet in that case.
  11. @MRMaguire Well, that's a good form of severe (yet not physically harmful) public humiliation, no? :)
  12. Yeah, I'm just full of sarcastic, slightly bitter stuff this morning.
  13. Anyone who wants a production user ID where the password is the same as the ID should immediately have garbage thrown at them in public.
  14. Any coder who writes SQL with a "SELECT *" deserves to have their privileges revoked. That's just plain lazy.
  15. @infixum That's for all the crappy, wanna be programmers out there, who don't understand how to code securely. Too bad it doesn't work.
  16. Hallo there Twitterdom... been awhile. Guess I've been too busy between work, watchin' the Phils, and daddy stuff.
  17. It would be nice if google reader had a blackberry app. Mobile interface is ok, but not elegant at all.
  18. Nice to see my favorite Black Lab Bistro get some love in the local awards.
  19. @infixum thx for the referral, will check that out.
  20. @Entic zfs is actually why i'm considering it. just a home machine so nothing too beefy, but snapshots et Al looks awesome.
