  1. @hyfen One of my personal favourites from my trip a few years ago: http://bit.ly/7CVC9L
  2. @hyfen I guess it balances out since few foreigners are likely buying the hot (!) canned coffee drinks they also sell in vending machines.
  3. RT @avibryant: ReadWriteWeb on Trendly: http://www.readwriteweb.com...
  4. Can't help wonder if the Carlton would still be open if it still looked like this: http://bit.ly/45fm14 (circa 1966-1972)
  5. Not so shocking news: the Carlton Cinema is closing. Last couple movies I saw there, there were 5 people in the room. http://is.gd/4Yv9M
  6. @pgib Talisker is also pretty agreeable and less smoky than Laphroaig.
  7. @pgib Laphroaig is certainly one of the most "medicinal", as they say, but I enjoy it. Try Bruichladdich and see if it's more to your taste.
  8. @hyfen "Entry-level" bike is $650? All made in Taiwan? This is not the MEC I know and love.
  9. @snoble Yes, but I might be cheating by being married to a dairy-intolerant woman. :)
  10. @pgib Or maybe I should rephrase that... do you like any peaty single malts?
  11. @pgib Do you like single malts in general?
  12. @alexksky last.fm is pretty good.
  13. @joelkitching I think your Twitter account has been hacked.
  14. @adayintheweek I try and do everything in my life with a karaoke soundtrack, actually.
  15. @stevenf Probably okay in a country that pronounces "Favre" as "Farve".
  16. @bradTTC Quoting those full figures is clearer — don't want to mislead people.
  17. @bradTTC e.g. publish studies showing how better funding would save everyone money by reducing Toronto's horrific traffic.
  18. @bradTTC I respect job TTC does, and I know you take lotsa flack from customers/public. Need to sell better funded transit as good news.
  19. @bradTTC To clarify, these subsidy rates are for a single ride? One person in L.A. riding a bus costs $4.91 + their actual fare?
  20. @bradTTC I couldn't agree more about good public policy. I just think the TTC has approached this fare hike the wrong way from a PR POV.
