  9. In ST johns, Just saw seals at the Ocean Sciences Center. They are fed snow and ice as their source for freshwater!

  13. Just before 0600 Ocean Watch recrossed the Arctic Circle exiting the Arctic and "officially" completed the transit of the Northwest Passage.
  14. Pond Inlet-Beautiful! Mountains &glaciers across bay. Big iceberg slowing approaching. water is flat & reflective. nice!
  15. Heading north. Little fog, ice, calm & cold. 2 polar bears on ice! Mother & cub... watched us approach, then swam away. Wow!!!
