  1. @omfut Like I said Skype platfrm is SNs and clients.3rd party can access them only via a SN,using Skype auth, encryption which means S client
  2. @kencamp I am on some 90 waves, but no activity in any of them for the past week
  3. @omfut Doesn't iSkoot run "Skype client" in its server to complete Skype calls? How do they do it otherwise?
  4. @omfut When A wants to get B's info,B's SN needs to be reached,which can be done only by a S client,via A's SN.Hence the need for S client
  5. @omfut Since Skype tightly controls the client SW, how can it be from a third party?
  6. @patphelan Would French be seated on the left-side bleachers?
  7. @PaulSweeney Agree, especially if we replace trapezoidal model with triangular one
  8. @omfut since Skype data is dist, need to access SNs for which you need to run Skype client, INO, must be client based API, is my thinking
  9. @rameshsrivats Fight only during day time
  10. @rameshsrivats After all Rama did ...
  11. @omfut How can Skype API not be client based, since the only way to talk to the Skype cloud is via the client?
  12. @jobsworth ... a big one is that Jingle and all big SIP implementations use trapezoidal model
  13. @jobsworth Let me count the ways...Not user centric, why only P-Asserted identity; No emphasis on devices; ATA is a big curse, ...
  14. @tomkeating That means N900 is out for me!
  15. @TruVoIP So, which is inferior here, SIP? Just asking :-)
  16. @TruVoIP @tsahil Google may well do it; but my pt is more academic - do they have to and what are the benefits?
  17. RT @jobsworth: so some of you have opinions about voice, about what's wrong with voice today. I'm all ears. #long-live-voice
  18. @tsahil What I meant was Google can continue to support Jingle to its clients and still use SIP eco.Would Jingle/SIP interworking be a prob?
  19. @tsahil If it is the ecosysystem, then the UNI is not critical, whether it is Jingle or SIP, no?
  20. @TruVoIP Which move? And which direction?
