@ Some passes can alter orbits, but it doesn't necessarily put them on a more risky orbit.

@ closest pass of 2012 KP24 is around 10:57am EST, and closest point on Earth is predicted to be over North Africa.

@ 2012 KP24 would likely burn up in atmosphere. An event the size of Tunguska is estimated to occur every few hundred years.

@ Thankfully, a rocky asteroid under 30 meters would be expected to break apart/burn up in atmosphere w/ no ground damage.

@ Lots of overblown stories out there (as usual). It may be in regards to 2012 DA14 which will miss Earth on Feb 13, 2013.

@ Small rocks pass between Earth - Moon frequently, some unseen. Like 2012KA, they're small & don't pose a threat(would burn up)
