  1. Called @squenx using my new MTNL number and talked to him in a modified voice. Scared the shit out of him! Hahahaha!
  2. @b50 Rs. 36,000 for 16GB and Rs. 42,000 for 32GB. The price was getting bumped up to Rs. 40,000 for 16GB due to eBay’s seller fees.
  3. @b50 Oh, did I forget to answer that before? I purchased it from a guy called Nitant in Mumbai for Rs. 36,000.
  4. @preshit Yeah, thanks. With the iPhone, your nerves are always a little frayed, even when you know it’s genuinely unlocked.
  5. @sunnychahal1 @Teucher Yeah, that must be it. Just gotta wait for this SIM card to get activated now.
  6. @Teucher Shit, SHIT! Mine is officially unlocked but the option to edit the APN is not there. Maybe it will be once I insert the 3G SIM…
  7. @Teucher Right. Thanks. Didn’t they remove the APN configuration option from the iPhone in one of the earlier software updates?
  8. @sunnychahal1 It hasn’t been activated yet, so I cannot tell you about the speeds.
  9. @sunnychahal1 Oh, please don’t tell me that’s something I should have done separately. I think it’s one size fits all. @ankurgupta?
  10. @iAzeem If Cydia isn’t installed and your SIM works with it, it’s factory unlocked. For absolute proof, restore it using iTunes.
  11. @tanmays Well, then, I guess I made a mistake by asking the Mumbai guys, whom I’d accidentally called, to give me the number for New Delhi.
  12. Wow, MTNL’s customer care seems to be staffed by a bunch of giggly schoolgirls. Unprofessional as all hell.
  13. On a call with MTNL customer care. The female exec on the other end keeps putting me on hold to share a muffled giggle with her colleagues.
  14. SUCCESS! After restoring and setting my iPhone 3GS up as a new phone and redoing all the settings manually, MobileMe sync is working again.
  15. @Vulturo Not in Delhi/NCR, you cannot. It’s the best they’ll offer out here. As to why this discrimination exists, I have no idea.
  16. @puneet I’ll just call AppleCare and ask. Airtel and Vodafone have got nothing to do with my iPhone.
  17. @yashrg I seriously don’t know what I will do if this major problem does not fix itself in a few days…
  18. @chartier Mac OS X Hints to the rescue: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20090624022758268. I hope this works.
  19. @chartier I found ones that can archive them but none that can restore. If you have any in mind, it would be a great help.
  20. @b50 Yes, plenty. I prefer the responsiveness, better battery life and hassle-free nature of a stock iPhone. Jailbreaking is not for me.
