  1. Headed to Seville to give a speech at #isms, and meet some clients. Will be back in time for Thanksgiving.
  2. At the half, the forces of Good are beating Evil, 10-0.
  3. @Beaker if "success" == "driving MSFT crazy," it's likely to be VERY successful. GOOG is doing Chrome OS b/c it can; it doesn't NEED to.
  4. Off to see The Game with my dad #fb
  5. @dinodaizovi hey, if you build one, can you post it somewhere? I don't trust BitTorrent or some random gadget site that requires a login
  6. @GlennF Loved the 6502. So simple, so clean. At 1MHz, it seemed like it had all the speed I'd ever need.
  7. @chriseng @dinodaizovi Sometimes. Counter-example: the recently-discovered SSL MITM bug requires an entire new rev of TLS.
  8. There's a fine line between fearless prediction and trolling. http://bit.ly/2paMqA. This one is in the latter category.
  9. @VanessaAlvarez1 Palm is on track to becoming the Amiga of the mobile world. Loved by some, ignored by many, and too little/too late.
  10. (and yes, I meant "oxygen supply" in the same historical sense as MSFT-Netscape)
  11. GOOG-MSFT fight is the greatest spectator sport in IT. Chromium, Google Docs, Chrome Frame: all about cutting off MSFT's oxygen supply.
  12. Did quick skim of Chromium security/hardening docs: http://bit.ly/26p2ac http://bit.ly/3DFhtk. Nicely exposes GOOG's thinking. Good read!
  13. I'm off to get @JAyalSinger drunk. Young Grasshopper got himself engaged. Good on 'im!
  14. @s_crawford NaCl is coooooooooool. And it might just work too...
  15. @mfratto Could be a problem, but there's plenty of capability in ChromeOS for offline work (Gears). We'll find out soon enough!
  16. @Beaker Question: if someone develops a one-click exploit of Amazon's cloud service, do they violate Amazon's patent?
  17. I offer first impressions on Chrome OS here: http://bit.ly/1wYlfS
  18. @beaker @scottsanchez Salesforce.com has an "encrypted fields" capability that 2 health care firms claim helps them be HIPAA compliant.
  19. RT @Beaker: RT @scottsanchez: Joyent: Future cloud API's will have toggles for protection of reg. data. #interopkeynote << call i ...
  20. Ok, it's time to brag a little bit. Read my post on Chrome OS (no advance knowledge!). Now compare to today's news: http://bit.ly/2NtfRC
