  1. In Chicago for my grandmothers memorial service. Blogging will be light for a few days.
  2. @bitterb Why does such a "town" even need a mayor?
  3. Local news runs a story on anti-straw purchase billboards in Tucson. http://bit.ly/200zB3 Good article, except for "morals over money" jab.
  4. I hate it when Midway emails product arrival notifications and when I check the site a few minutes later the item is sold out.
  5. Saw District 9 at midnight. Good movie. Lots of shakycam, but it wasn't that annoying. I want a battle mech and a people-go-splortch gun.
  6. Anyone looking at buying a PowerMac G5? I've got one for sale at http://bit.ly/5yuwF
  7. @bitterb You'd think so. Go figure.
  8. According to the news the cops raided the house, shots were fired, a cop injured, and the suicidal guy killed by the police. Bad times.
  9. Cops are *still* blocking off roads with yellow tape and police cruisers. This is taking a while.
  10. SWAT standoff still ongoing.
  11. @bitterb That, and more timely news. I remember the old AOL ads for "up-to-the-minute" news. Ha. Only now has that become really possible.
  12. @CarrytheCross Sweet! They found my artillery? Maybe they could show me where it is. I have a small studio apartment. :)
  13. I wish there local news sources would publish breaking, often-changing news via Twitter or some other small, fast service.
  14. Gov. Corzine of NJ really doesn't get it: http://bit.ly/E3pPB. One-gun-a-month rationing limits good folks, does nothing to stop criminals.
  15. Turns out it's some suicidal guy allegedly possessing a handgun. Of course, this requires a SWAT callout. </sarcasm>
  16. Tucson SWAT is three blocks from my apartment. Some roads are closed. I didn't do it, I swear.
  17. @SebastianSH Personally, I'm surprised it's that strong. Even the cheap, little shelves can hold 160lbs/shelf.
  18. Wire shelves, such as those available at Target and other vendors, are fantastic for storing ammo.
  19. Sportsmans Warehouse has ARs and mags at not unreasonable prices. Still short on powder and some ammo.
  20. Visiting family in San Francisco for the weekend. Blogging will be light.
