@ True, but for basic IM it may have the edge. I liked the 'last seen' info, and Empathy has had problems since the 9.10 upgrade.

Liking Ubuntu 9.10 mostly, however the new Gwibber is not as good & having switched to Empathy on 9.04, 9.10 may push me back to Pidgin!
