  1. Even NBC's evening news mentioned tonight's Packers-Vikings game... guess the Brett Favre-vs-his-old-team hype's really that high.
  2. The game isn't on US TV, so maybe why (or someone at CBC made a mistake), but thought that's what for-pay GameCenter or Center Ice was for
  3. CBC's live-streaming video of the Canucks-Flames game is actually working for me... thought it'd be region-blocked?
  4. Yesterday's Ubuntu 9.04 update broke the sound on my laptop; finally fixed thanks to Ubuntu's sound troubleshooting wiki (the HP dvx part)
  5. Netflix sent me the latest DVD in my queue all the way from... Honolulu?!
  6. CBS Anchor: "looks like <Bengals player doing the Lambeau leap> has found some friends"; given a Packers fan near him flipped the bird, no.
  7. Wonder if there's any Linux-friendly devices similar to the iPod Touch (that have a touchscreen and wifi built-in)...
  8. Hulu leaves something to be desired for its animated shows---just anime, Fox's Sunday shows, and whatever misc. shows they could find...
  9. Eye exam today.. want to buy a new pair of glasses (probably from goggles4u.com) and need an up-to-date prescription.
  10. The URL for "A Couple of Guys"'s Facebook page (guess should add it to the blog): http://bit.ly/A4laz
  11. Finally found a source of in-color strips for "A Couple of Guys"---the cartoonist's Facebook page. Hmph, an actual *use* for Facebook...
  12. "The Jay Leno Show".... basically Leno's "Tonight Show" on 90 minutes early...
  13. Looks like this Sunday's newspaper hit the mother lode for coupons this week...
  14. http://www.jsonline.com/business/58680372.html Packers themed cereal (just Pick 'n Save's store-brand honey-nut cheerios in a new box)
  15. Messing with DVD ripping settings in Handbrake, which seems to rip at h.264 a bit faster on this new laptop.
  16. Giving Twitter another go, after ignoring it for months...
  17. Yikes... the first *Christmas*-related promotions of the year---a Disney Channel ad for a Disney Christmas Carol movie out in Nov or Dec
  18. And as far as the Tonys are concerned, they're up against something with much more mass-appeal: the NBA basketball championships (game 2)
  19. There's also theater tickets being way more expensive than movies (which already cost too much), and theater genres not as mass-appealing
  20. That and most Americans probably viewing theater (musicals particularly) as "being gay" (and "of course," "gay = icky" <sarcasm>)
