  1. Good reminder in @shaunjamison post (http://short.to/yqmv) that the fundamentals of good business must always be foundation of your efforts.
  2. There are no short-cuts to success, but there are long-cuts: getting caught up in finding "clever" tricks can slow growth.
  3. Don't lose sight of essentials in your #law practice: RT @shaunjamison: Don't count on the magic bullet: Blog post: http://short.to/yqmv
  4. Have a gracious Thanksgiving, folks. Remember to do something to share with others the blessings you have received.
  5. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. May you enjoy the holiday and find refreshment in pausing to think of all the blessings you have.
  6. Fifteen temporary folders on your desk is better than having documents spread around. Then make sure to put them in the file by day's end.
  7. When you have a new fax for a client or new research, if the file isn't handy, stick it in a blank folder and pencil client name on it.
  8. Having lots of papers around is unavoidable for lawyers, but leaving them spread out means they can get mixed together.
  9. Organization tricks: Don't allow stacks of paper on your desk. I use file folders liberally, even if just temporary.
  10. Thanks for retweets! @Leoramaccabee and @DKBooker. Hope you both have a restful and refreshing Thanksgiving and weekend.
  11. @uMCLE While doing it, write a promise to yourself that you'll take the next holiday off. Then tack it to your wall by your desk. : )
  12. @uMCLE Thanks! Glad you're taking at least one day. : ) I hope the work is fruitful and valuable.
  13. Figure out if there are more efficient ways to do some of the things you do, like billing, timekeeping, scanning, etc.
  14. Evaluate whether there are things you're spending time on (like, umm... Twitter? ; ) ) that aren't producing returns that justify your time.
  15. If you have to work Friday, use some of the time to rethink your habits: what things can you cut back on or cut out?
  16. Best productivity advice: take tomorrow off, work smarter and more refreshed on Friday (or better yet, Monday).
  17. @boydjohnson We'll miss you in Minnesota legal community (and others!). Looking forward to updates on the next adventure!
  18. You don't constantly run your cell-phone on a low battery, boosting it now and then with a quick charge. Don't treat your body that way.
  19. There is no work you could do tomorrow that would give as great a boost to #productivity as 1 day off with loved ones.
  20. The most effective thing you can do for your business is to take the holiday off and spend it with family.
