  1. Heavy snow and no power overnight but everything is working again. Sitting fixing thin ribbon ties to miniature books .
  2. The first heavy snowfall of the year. Its cold but I have a comfy sofa in front of a roaring fire .

  6. I have made a mock-up of my miniature book "A Prospect of Ely". The three blocks are in the press but, despite makeready, are not behaving.

  8. Working on state 2 of the engraved text blocks. It is taking forever but it is a compelling process, albeit a slow and painstaking one.

  13. I have returned from Bury St Edmunds with an(other) oak bookcase and an art deco dinner service to complete our art deco dining room :-)

  15. I am off to Bury St. Edmunds this morning for coffee, lunch and a mooch round this lovely little city.
  16. I just cut down three sides of a boxwood block by hand. Heavens! Such a resistant wood.
