  1. Musing on BonjourFoxy — moving to generic observer style XPCOM Bonjour wrappers so other Firefox extensions can browse or register services
  2. just finished adding native DNS-UL and DNS-LLQ support to my DNS server — it's now feature complete for wide area zeroconf networking
  3. need to decide whether to upgrade my linode 360 or get a vps at prgmr.com
  4. stumbled on HTTPU and HTTPMU — that's HTTP over UDP and HTTP over multicast — one question, why? stumps me...
  5. see http://bit.ly/47hJH for background
  6. Bandwidth and time saver apt-zeroconf (grab a package once and it's automagically shared locally) is being resurrected — http://bit.ly/eKD9f
  7. Appears WAB DNS updates are still broken in the new Apple Airport firmware 7.4.2 — buying something OpenWRT capable next time.

  12. @EverywhereTrip then there's the varying degree of free; naively booked a place advertising free wifi but not a 30min limit — I check now ;)
  13. first public beta of new project deployed. time to write some documentation while I wait for bug reports and stack traces to hit my inbox.
  14. @davewiner agreed. I built a toy Unity-like FFxtn (HTTPd+Bonjour for NAT/DNS) but never released it as there's no audience for such a thing
  15. Liked "There's something strangely refreshing about lack of Flash support on Google Chrome for Mac OS X. I could..." http://ff.im/-3FFi1

  18. Just signed up with @namecheap and I'm already tempted to move all my godaddy domains to them — they're much faster and easier to deal with
  19. @SJCJonker if you're still up for testing my Wide Area Bonjour DNS service please drop me an email or follow me so I can DM you some details
  20. euphoria; watching the needle flick to F 50 clicks after hitting E, just beyond the black stump
