  1. Bitterroot: To my taste, the best of the Ballard BBQ. (Pulled pork sandwich, anyway.) Beautiful evening for a walk with friends, too.
  2. Would love producer etc credits attached to music I buy. (Also: artist etc data in iTunes independent of the songs.) bit.ly/Ki49qU
  3. My irritation at spam in Kanji is reduced because the letters look so beautiful on this retina display.
  4. @cobookapp Also, I would argue groups ≠ tags. Groups more prominent. I want many tags, few groups; temp, easily-deleted groups ("camp trip")
  5. @cobookapp Nice work. Pls consider (optional?) drill-down UI, a la iOS. Meanwhile, close button on flyout, pls. Also "email", "open" actions
  6. I like some stuff about Cobook (cobookapp.com), but not entirely what I want. Maybe if they add some of the more traditional elements
  7. @danielpunkass I thought maybe that was a comment on Siri's reliability. /cc @chartier
  8. More from pocket_bits: "Why are we losing followers? New reviews coming soon!" "Check out [review]! Didn't even buy it and I know it sucks!"
  9. "I'm going to buy the game to give our site's its first 0 star rating" - d.pr/i/Lifh
  10. So disappointing: Discovered I'm getting Viacom spam at my custom Rally to Restore Sanity email address. /cc @thedailyshow @colbertreport
  11. While we're at it, I know "Please advise" really bugs many, but I think it often simply means the person doesn't know what question to ask.
  12. @fetjuel @emarley @dv0rak That's my feeling too, but since I heard such a negative take on it, I've been worried I've been insulting people.
  13. @OldManKris It's been so long, I live in fear that the Varsity will disappear before I get back to it, like my beloved Upper Crust pizza.
  14. @iainabernathy Certainly it's more polite to make a _request_, and if the people on the receiving end are bugged by it, I want to avoid it.
  15. @iainabernathy The idea is that it's a command and thus rude. I don't find it inherently so, though depending on the tone, may be indicator.
  16. That last tweet was meant to be more targeted, so for those who missed the rest of the conversation: I do try to avoid "I'll have".
  17. That said, TBH, a menu seems like "here's stuff we want you to buy", so "I'll have" doesn't seem inherently rude to me. (Depending on tone.)
  18. @dv0rak I agree that "I'll have" at some level seems presumptuous, and indicative of a pattern. (I try to avoid, but worry I'm not perfect.)
