  11. My hands still smell of thyme and garlic. I missed cooking. The past two weeks have been full of takeouts or butterflies in stomachs.

  16. Lolo was cremated yesterday around noon. Came home very exhausted; woke up just now still crying. Dear Lolo: I still miss you.
  17. I still can't believe he's gone. How much can one heart take? I still wake up crying, wanting to believe that it hasn't happened yet.
  18. When we arrived, doctors and nurses were still trying to revive Lolo, until my dad told them to stop. It was so hard to see that.
  19. On the way to the ICU, as we waited for the elevator, a white butterfly flew and hovered at the very carriage we were going to take.
  20. I was the one who answered the phone when the hospital called to say that Lolo's having another cardiac arrest. I would never forget that.
