  1. @SurreySteve Apache runs on Windows. If you are on a development environment, XAMPP or WAMP are good choices.
  2. @RobSchley Going to go code. jQuery is calling me, baby! :) See ya later - thanks for the debate. Always appreciate your point of view.
  3. @RobSchley You are very nice. But, to be fair, that's easy for you to say since you are in business with 2 people who help make that choice.
  4. @RobSchley It's more productive if we try to understand why things happen the way they do and accept responsibility as a community.
  5. @RobSchley Yea, I don't know. To be honest, I'd be concerned the project would link that to JED inclusion. Just stay current w JS framework.
  6. @imscoop22 I think the Joomla! community has real challenges, Scott, I just *don't* think it's one portion of the community's fault.
  7. @RobSchley And, that's where the "messing up your code" comes in. Most have switched to jQuery - others to 1.2 - that's just reality.
  8. @RobSchley That's all that is being requested - provide Mootools 1.2 with 1.5 - and a switch - only for the frontend - leave the Admin alone
  9. @RobSchley Do you recommend that developers use Mootools 1.1 for new Joomla! 1.5 projects?
  10. @RobSchley I've got no problem with that provided everyone knows people will use jQuery and Mootools 1.2 in order to stay competitive.
  11. @blueflameit Drupal didn't release a new version and they won. Maybe it's the *entire community* working together that makes the difference.
  12. Highly recommend RT @alledia: http://bit.ly/l8ee4 Do you need to learn Joomla in the Mid-West? We've 2 Joomla classes in Cincinatti next wk
  13. Congratulations to Drupal on winning the best OS PHP CMS - There is no doubt, Drupal has things going on - keep it up! http://bit.ly/ItOq6
  14. For those who hope to hold Joomla! Day events in 2010, please let @cozimek know by posting in the forums http://is.gd/4RSwB #jos
  15. @vistamedia Afternoon to you now!
  16. @willebil Pfft! lol - oh boy! :D
  17. @delphinocons I am always concerned with that. :)
  18. @simbunch Good comments, Thanks Mike! Since you've made the switch, any help you can provide would also be appreciated!
  19. @simbunch It just showed up :)
  20. @lafrance You should respond in the comments! :) That way, you get more than 140 characters!
