  1. Back in the lovely Quito. Back to party time in La Ronda, alcoholic fruit punch in hand :)
  2. Spent Christmas with a bunch of retired birdwatchers in the rainforest. Different coloured birds with different names. What I can´t remember
  3. Happy Christmas & a Merry New Year
  4. Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia. Pink flamingos, white salt lake, red & green lakes, weird rocks in the desert. All it needs is a few melted clocks.
  5. And I think I`m the only one here not selling something. Everything for sale in La Paz, from socks to llama foetuses.
  6. La Paz is ridiculously hilly & high for a sea level girl like me.
  7. Not sure i'll adopt the local fashion of voluminous (does my bum look big in this?) skirts.
  8. Peruvian condors sighted, viscachas, si, llamas, vicunas, alpacas, si tambien. Paddington bear is still in hiding. Shy.
  9. Despite all that, Peru is fantastico. Macchu Picchu even better than I imagined and guinea pigs are tasty.
  10. My bronchitis is having a ball at altuitude. I´ve morphed into a 40 a day smoker going up those hills.
  11. Excuse lack of tweeting. My stomach has made enemies with a Peruvian parasite and/or bacteria. Happily drugged now.
  12. A happy day watching marching bands do silly walks, photographing painted cows.
  13. @MelindaKerr Absolutely, give thanks first because all you can do is groan afterwards.
  14. Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you gave thanks & stuffed your faces sufficiently.
  15. @eustonbear Bear envy?
  16. @cravenheart @matsyendrasana Off I go on my quest to darkest Peru with Marmalade to entice my bear. With sandwiches & ginger beer.
  17. @ChrisChinch Well, Paddington Bear really belongs in darkest Peru. No wonder Portobello Rd was a disappointment.
  18. @blondediva11 Only if you want a short, nuggetty aztec. I've seen one peruvian male over 5'5" so far. I'm 5'7", I'm tall, I rule! - finally.
  19. In Lima, coughed my way here. Hope it's hayfever or I've infected 3 plane loads of Americans & Peruvians.
  20. I'm off to darkest Peru to find Paddington Bear.
