Interplanting close in pots (you could have leeks spring onions lettuce & carrots all together for example) does seem to confuse many pests.

@ main constituent is Glyphosate, systemic being taken down to the roots, as I understand it deactivates by contact with the soil.

@ The reason is that Roundup is pretty safe is it will be taken up by couch grass, docks etc & in a few weeks plot will be usable
