  1. I've had a lovely early evening digging out old pieces of Bach and Chopin that I learned a while ago. It's great fun to revisit them.
  2. Just been asked to MD a full production of High School Musical next July!!! Sounds very exciting!!
  3. I have a really bad headache, but that's probably because I haven't eaten anything today. Lunch time then!
  4. Finally going to go and have a shower. I've got all the work I need to do done for today - this afternoon involves a LOT of practice...
  5. Just thought... I'm off to Aldeburgh for another residential music course all week from tomorrow... Make that MORE practice then!!
  6. I only have a bit of work to do today, but a lot of piano and violin practice...
  7. After last night's party antics, I really need to get to sleep now.
  8. I've bought a conducting baton!!! It's a beautiful Mollard one, with a rosewood handle. Ah, it was like being in Olivander's wand shop!!
  9. Back from a busy London, and pleased that a really good percussionist won the Junior Guildhall Lutine Prize.
  10. Off to London to see the prizewinners' concert from this year's Junior Guildhall. Hopefully it will inspire me for when I go next year.
  11. Last night of the production I'm MDing brought the house down. Had a kind of illegal after-party in a field, but I avoided booze :D
  12. Sports day was fun - lovely weather and great company.
  13. Yes, I succumbed and bought a MJ song from iTunes. It's my personal favourite: Earth Song. What's your favourite MJ song?
  14. Sports day (which means there's an ice cream van around) and then the last night of the production. Good day!
  15. Just woke up and the voice on the TV was telling me to sort out my eyesight! Interesting...
  16. @LocalMusicTeach Thanks :)
  17. I hate it when music is overplayed on TV. Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" and "Viva la Vida" are two contrasting examples.
  18. @LocalMusicTeach I passed my grade 8 earlier this year. I'm only stopping lessons with him because I'm starting Junior Guildhall in Sept.
  19. @LocalMusicTeach He is amazing. I'll check first with him and then DM details :)
  20. Night 2 of the production which I'm MDing was EVEN BETTER than the first!! This is what I live for.
