Watching Star Trek: Generations with the guys. Kinda sucks. Bad idea for wife to join; may undo all my work of making her a sci-fi nerd.

Back from an amazing Christmas getaway. Wife and pup passed out on sofa. I'm close, but eager to read my new Alton Brown Good Eats book.

@ 3 years ago, that'd have been a way more impressive statement!

@ But filler aside, if you've come this far, I'd suggest you just ride it 'til the end of 2.5. Stick with it for one more disc.

@ Tastes differ, brah. As @ would say, not everyone likes quality, haha! Maybe this show's just not for you.

Haha, I knew that was dangerous talk, @! It's a battle that will never be decided. But I'll form my own opinion once I watch all 3.

@ I'll take you up on borrowing those DVD's. In the future, nerds everywhere will commemorate the day with light sabers and pie.

@ Currently working on enjoying 2 weeks off! But after that, it's back to Fairly Odd and a new show called Tuff Puppy.

@ We're a rare breed! Seeing them for the first time as an adult, was it still magic? Or were you analyzing story,Campbell, myth, etc?

I need to sit down and really watch them as an adult. But 'til I do, lemme fan the flames: Star Trek > Star Wars. Trek and BSG both, even.

I've seen some Star Wars, sure, in grade school or whatnot. I know the main bullet points and all that. But it left no lasting impressions.

Star Wars Episode 3 on FX. I may be the only male my age who has never "really" watched any Star Wars film. So far, this one kinda sucks.

@ The Gazebo is incredible. One of the highlights of an island trip. I dream about those pancakes. Fantastic omelettes, too.

@ Black Market WAS awful, I 100% agree. There're a couple duds, but that's true for any show, even God's gift to sci-fi.

Great interview with Mike Roush, fellow CSUF alumn (and lead animator on Metalocalypse, among other things).
