  1. Had to change some code this week, all was covered by unit tests. All changes went smoothly. Would it have been like that without tests?
  2. @jonpryor Yeah the Mac Mini is pretty quiet, looks nice and is tiny - might be a good choice.
  3. New #HerdingCode podcast is on iPhone development. They talk about #MonoTouch according to the show notes http://bit.ly/6WoHSJ
  4. Ha, apparently you can query an excel spreadsheet with SQL... that's cool... not needed right now, but good to know.
  5. @follesoe looks like this may work: Application excelApp = new Application(); Workbook workbook = excelApp.Workbooks.Open("spreadsheet.xsl")
  6. @follesoe I am just reading up on it at the moment. I have a .xslx file and need to write a throwaway app simply to grab the data.
  7. I am programmatically accessing an Excel document with C# for the first time. Can't be that hard can it?
  8. Systemutvikler? Vi har ledige stillinger på Bennett i Trondheim: http://www.bennett.no/stillinger
  9. Ridiculous. Visual Studio "Code Snippet Manager" lets me remove snippets, import existing ones.... but not actually create new ones!
  10. On the subject of iPhone apps... the app "Yak" (although a bit buggy) lets me send FREE Sms and Mms to anyone else with Yak on their iPhone!
  11. @goeran I share a folder with my dad & gf, so I can take an iPhone pic, put in my DropBox, and it just appears on their computer - sweet!
  12. @goeran DropBox windows/mac app integrates in a more seamless way. Website is cleaner and slicker. Mesh also has no iPhone app, DropBox does
  13. I cannot stop watching this FizzBuzz ReSharper Jedi video: http://bit.ly/72O9FJ Now that is a true coding jedi!
  14. @goeran yeah Evernote is awesome, been hooked on it for months. My latest addiction is DropBox - amazing! Also has a great iPhone app.
  15. Using TDD to help me write my first MVC app - whilst watching the footy and having a pizza!
  16. Balsamiq is a good way to get started on a project if you don't know how to get started...
  17. RT @fkalseth: First 'proper' blog post in months! On the honing of skills: http://bit.ly/87vP6l
  18. @PeteSamuel @dtax thanks for the info on TFS! It seems this is what my company has been waiting for: an easy way to get off SourceSafe!
  19. @PeteSamuel this must be part of the new pricing structure though - it hasn't always been free. Can't find anything to confirm it!
  20. On Tues, @scottgu said that #TFS (Team Foundation Server) was free for MSDN subscribers. Can any1 confirm or deny this?! No info anywhere...
