  1. Please Retweet and Sign this Petition 'REPO! The Genetic Opera Director's Cut' - http://301.to/mx
  2. I missed Outer Alliance Pride Day! Sorry, folks -- there could have been a post in that. At any rate, yay for queers!
  3. Two days of no sleep plus early morning volunteering makes for a very cranky @alamaris. The cat is responsible for at least half of that.
  4. 3 more skulls arrived before I expected them. There are now 19, and the curio cupboard for them isn't done! Time for steel wool and stain!
  5. I hate having online courses. There is only so long that I can stare at a computer screen before feeling remarkably ill.
  6. Acquired a fifteenth century Latin manuscript today. Also, saw "Watchmen" -- finally. It's been a day for firsts.
  7. A fortress for four; of silk pennants & ancient stones, of feathers and blades, of skulls that bloom flowers each morning. A good fortress.
  8. Had several customers come in yesterday and say that it was hotter in the store than outside. I'd believe it! (HATE SUMMER OMG.)
  9. My theory that "drag queens make everything better" still stands. Related: "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" is my new favorite movie.
  10. Also, glowsticks and dancing in the rain. At eighteen years and nine months of age, I jumped in my first puddle tonight.
  11. I enjoyed myself excessively today. Trains! Getting to ride up front with the engineer! Crystal skulls! Literary bistros! Books! TRAINS!
  12. I will not ogle the half-naked drunken teenagers on my street. I will not ogle the half-naked drunken teenagers on my street. I will not...
  13. After having nightmares about my father dying all night, I am blearily, agonizingly awake. Here's hoping my waking hours are better spent.
  14. A snifter of brandy, a book on the British occupation of India, and thou. (Jugs of wine and loaves of bread are so 11th century.)
  15. In response to mother's odd look: "Is there something WRONG with having a popcorn-and-coke-and-whiskey dessert, pray tell?"
  16. I need to read Iron Council again. This trip has reminded me just how fervently I wish the perpetual train in the book was real.
  17. Tomorrow, I work. Tonight, I read classic lesbian literature...and sleep. Anticipating three days off and a train trip this weekend!
  18. Get home from work, tired, sweat-slicked, to find home-made pizza on the counter -- still steaming. My father is six kinds of amazing.
  19. First thought after spending an hour on makeup / dress: "I wish I was a guy so this outfit would be more queer." Drag queens do it better!
  20. Headed off to the artists-only grand opening of Artisans 2009 at the Tulista Community Arts Center. Oh boy, first art show is NERVEWRACKING.
