  1. Readable science book for the laypersons. Oxymoron? Perhaps. Definitely our goal. Knowledge is power, especially in the kitchen.
  2. Is it wrong to admit that I love Halloween candy? Now I just have to make snickerdoodkes w/orange cinnamon sugar & my world will be happy
  3. 2003 Sequel Syrah a beautiful match for challah fried in home made butter. Add a little prosciutto de Parma and you've got dinner.
  4. @phillydesign yum, I'll have to try that. Hot dog Reuben ended up being a little too rich, true belly bomb territory.
  5. Experimenting with condensed milk brownies, expecting something a bit richer and cake-like. Hoping for some complexity and chew.
  6. Fondue season has begun and I'm a happy camper.
  7. Apple sent out my laptop for new logic board, ended up replacing the hard drive. Miscommunication and no recent back up. That'll teach me...
  8. Lunch today, hot dog reubens. Split dogs lengthwise, fry cut side in butter and sub for meat in Reuben on everything rye. Wicked indulgence
  9. Felino Vina Cobos, the malbec that finally convinced my husband that he actually can like malbec.
  10. Whatever happened to the combination is subtlety and flavor? Food doesn't have to hit you over the head to taste good.
  11. Dried cherry tapenade with a blend of sweet and sour fruit.
  12. Logic board fried. Thank goodness for apple care. Without my laptop for 5-7 days, six weeks to book deadline. Major stress levels.
  13. It's funny because it's true...http://tinyurl.com/yz4ojqc
  14. @phillydesign What the heck are black tacos anyway?
  15. For everything you ever wanted to know, the American Egg Board has an eggcyclopedia http://www.incredibleegg.or...
  16. Someone asked if cooking takes a lot of time & patience. Just until you learn how. Learning to drive took more, but once mastered we forget
  17. A picture book app http://istorytime.net/ for entertaining children with your iphone. Smart.
  18. @phillydesign visited a kitchen down south where monkey butt powder was in the employee bathroom. Only place I've ever seen it before...
  19. @ideasinfood remember that custard brioche from the old Bouley Bakery...just add a caramelized sugar topping. :)
  20. I wish there were more use-able hours in my day. No matter how much I get done I always feel like I'm missing something.
