  1. Volunteered for Give Kids a Smile!; helped with nearly 1,000 dental exams and cleanings, for children in need, at my alma mater Case.

  3. I just learned about the passing of Tuskegee Airman Arthur Saunders. Arthur was an architect and Tuskegee Airman. I will miss him dearly.
  4. Medical leaders; Army/Navy/Air Force, Indian Health and Public Health Services, Veterans Affairs, and Bureau of Prisons all attend AMSUS.
  5. Attending AMSUS; annual meeting of United States federal health services personnel, medical education and leadership seminars.
  6. Commander's Call meeting today; business as usual. In the next room, door slightly open, a flag-draped coffin; an Ohio airman had come home.
  7. Returned from my Air Force humanitarian mission in Nicaragua. 10,000 people were cared for. Dental unit; 500+ patients, 700+ extractions.
  8. Providing dental care to the people of Sebaco, Las Calabazas and Dorio, Nicaragua; many adults, mostly children; care of pain and infection.
  9. Deployed to Nicaragua; arrived yesterday on a KC-135 aircraft from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base to Managua, Nicaragua for Medical Mission.
  10. Arkansas Medical Mission accomplished; 6,000 people received medical care in impoverished, underserved Mississippi River region of Arkansas.
  11. Dental Unit today; 94 tooth extractions on 13 patients. I extracted 25 teeth on one patient alone. The patients are so very appreciative.
  12. Yesterday, during our medical mission, myself, the Army dentist and two assistants: 21 dental exams, 20 prescriptions, 87 tooth extractions.

  14. Clarence Guest was honored during our humanitarian medical mission "Operation Razorback" in Helena, Arkansas.
  15. Clarence Guest, a medic in the Vietnam War, received his Silver Star medal today. The Silver Star is the third highest military honor.

  17. On Sunday our base had an open house. Friends and family came to see how we work. My father, mother, and sister enjoyed their visit.
  18. Volunteered at the Cleveland National Air Show. Met some great people... our flight crew, F-18 pilot, Tuskegee Airmen, great AF recruiters.
  19. Graduated from Officer Training School at Air University. I will report to my base this week as an Officer in the United States Air Force.
