  1. I've become a huge GHOST HUNTERS fan. I can't get enough of this show. Dave Tango is the coolest one on the show...
  2. Senator Edward Kennedy was a flawed man, but I think the word "great" is still applicable in this case.
  3. For the Calley apology, see: http://bit.ly/OTsmF
  4. William Calley's apology for the My Lai massacre was moving and heartfelt. Forty years later, there is still hope for healing...
  5. Is there hope for a John Edwards comeback? Not likely. See: http://bit.ly/18Wgdq
  6. John Hughes died much, much to young. He was only 59. I was waiting and waiting for a comeback film. I guess we aren't going to get it.
  7. Stay away from Orphan, a crappy and uncreative horror film. So far, Star Trek remains the best film of the summer, IMHO.
  8. Too bad some ignorant opponents of Obama's healthcare plans are attacking Canada's healthcare system without knowing anything about it.
  9. The Declaration of Independence was actually signed on this day -- August 2, 1776. It was a great moment in history.
  10. I'm going back and watching all the seasons of Route 66, starring Martin Milner & George Maharis. I forgot what a GREAT show it is...
  11. Currently reading Richard Rayner's "A Bright and Guilty Place" about crime in Los Angeles in the 1920s and 1930s. It's a gripping book.
  12. Henry Louis Gates Jr.'s arrest shows that even though the U.S. has an African-American president, race relations still need improvement.
  13. It was touching to see Senator Edward Kennedy pleading for universal healthcare from his sickbed.
  14. My column on the economic crisis in California appeared in today's Waterloo Region Record. See: http://news.therecord.com/a...
  15. I was in SLC, Utah for two weeks. Very hot (high 90s). Family reunions galore. And there were Kiss-in Protests at the LDS Temple. Craaaaazy!
  16. Back Home in Canada and ready to start Twittering again!
  17. Democrats in Congress are accusing the CIA of being untruthful. That's so disillusioning. I can't imagine the CIA being untruthful! ;)
  18. Actor Alec Baldwin is thinking of running for Congress. Hmm. I'm sure he'll be liberal. But some people who know him think he's a jerk.
  19. Thumbs up on Public Enemies, starring Johnny Depp -- even though it contained far too many historical inaccuracies to list on Twitter.
  20. Happy July Fourth! What a fitting tribute to America that Lady Liberty's crown is reopening in New York Harbor.
