Some things that can be hard in general are nuts, seeds, fried foods/high fat foods, tough skinned foods.

@ Then when you do have a flare, you can look back to see what consistently triggers your flares. Eliminate those foods.

@ Foods to avoid can be very individual. Diet diary is imperative to finding your triggers. Log everything you eat and when.

@ I can't give medical advice, but biofeedback can be very helpful with pain control. I'd check into that with your doctor.
