  1. Address Book's duplication problem seems to be related to married couples with different last names who I've edited recently.
  2. Peachy. Address Book just gave me 3-10 copies of a bunch of recently edited addresses. Stupid syncing...
  3. I wonder how many people against health care reform pay for (or can't afford) their own health insurance. It's amazing how much we spend.
  4. @tedlandau Because your fridge isn't a proper cave. Needs more bats.
  5. Of the roughly 100 friends and relatives we send holiday cards to, at least 20 are married couples with different last names.
  6. Breathed's "A Wish for Wings that Work" is also one of our Christmas favorites (and features Opus!). http://bit.ly/7flotL
  7. Annual reading of the best modern Christmas story I know, Berkeley Breathed's "Red Ranger Came Calling." http://bit.ly/7lIx2S
  8. @bazcurtis Ooo, no - I'll have to add it to our Netflix (typoed as Nerdflix) queue.
  9. @mdeatherage that was also a big hit with Tristan.
  10. Just screened "Those Magnificent Men and Their Flying Machines" with Tristan for his upcoming b'day party. Fab old movie for boys (and men)!
  11. @siegel Yeah, it's clearly powerful and the sort of thing that's safe to touch only with good gloves on.
  12. Count me among the people who would prefer NOT to get a phone book (or at least multiple phone books every year). http://bit.ly/4BAq0e
  13. Even better, the guy replaced both springs and I got to keep the unbroken one. Have think of something fun to do with an 18-inch spring.
  14. Just watched the repair guy fix our garage door's broken spring. Always interesting to see how mechanical systems work.
  15. @siracusa it was common on upstate NY too. Depended on how good your boots were.
  16. Our third practice: a rousing rendition of The Twelve Aardvarks of Christmas (replace every subject for each day with "aardvarks"). Big fun.
  17. Dinner tonight: ham steak with a wilted kale and roasted potato salad. Suprise ingredient was lemon-tahini dressing. Extremely tasty.
  18. @dornquast you're only an hour from us in Ithaca if you need a place to sleep.
  19. There are one heck of a lot of variations of Eggs Benedict in Wikipedia. Just saying... May have to try some.
  20. @ejacqui Yeah, the Epicurious app is great for browsing potential recipes for higher effort meals.
