  1. It takes time to do all the good stuff. Hopefully I can start writing up about the trip this weekend, but training has to take priority too!
  2. Hello world. I promise that the goods are coming. Been working hard on getting pictures up, videos posted, and maps made. Blog posts too...
  3. Well, the roof of Africa has been achieved! 5,895m at Uhuru Peak. Brought to you by the fine folks who make Diamox! Now 24 hours of travel.
  4. Time to hit the hay. Tomorrow we start up Mount Meru. will be on mtn for 4 days. Up well over 4000m. We'll be doing secret Santa on mtn :-)
  5. Btw, fun fact of the day for you all: the cheetah is actually related to dogs, not cats. They don't have retractable claws! Now you know.
  6. Amazing time up in the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. Saw all the big 5 except for leopard, plus lots of other animals. Long days but good
  7. Glorious morning on the slopes of Mt. Meru. Orange sky beckoning me to Ngorongoro Crater later. Quick dip in pool ystrday was fresh.

  9. Did I mention bumpy ride was 8 hours? Plus, we got lesson in Tanzanian border crossing processes. No Big 5 sightings yet. Tomorrow for sure.
  10. Amazingly i have wifi again tonight. Long bumpy ride to Arusha today. Off on safari next 3 days. No wifi there. Had beer, all is good!
  11. And the journey continues. Solid couple hours of sleep, now onto the next country! Lions here I come!
  12. Wifi in hotel FTW! Arrived safe and sound with all luggage after a 27 hour journey. Tomorrow we head to Tanzania (Arusha). Sleep time...
  13. That was too close. We made our flight to Montreal with 25 Seconds to spare!!

  18. Great race today. Perfect conditions for a snowshoe. Cold, but not too cold. Snagged 6th overall with time of 1:04. Full deets soon on blog
  19. Just about to head out for the season's first snowshoe race! Yippee! 12km of crisp cool snow racing. Wish me luck.
