  1. Pie crust cookies http://twitpic.com/szjfb
  2. @mustbeart hanging out during kids' dance class http://twitpic.com/szix3
  3. I just made spiced shortbread cookies for a cookie exchange party, and I'm so glad I'm giving them away. Otherwise, I would eat every one.
  4. Set up a facebook group for Palomar Amateur Radio Club. If you are interested in ham radio in San Diego, please consider yourself invited.
  5. @firechief97 Hang in there!
  6. @rwmcgwier As in, what would it take to move the ICOM R7100 from "untested" to "tested"?
  7. @rwmcgwier There are a lot, that is true. For right now, we'll stick to testing the R7100. Do you know off hand if there is a test plan?
  8. @stevenbjohnson Lego Robotics! Totally fun. What were the notable creations?
  9. @rwmcgwier So far so good with hamlib. Got it to ./configure, make, make install on the beagleboard running Angstrom. Next: add real rig.
  10. Sewing up a storm here in the lab.
  11. @jenniferlucille nice pace on last run!
  12. Make required some fiddling, but not too much. Disappointing experience trying to opkg upgrade. Bricked 2/3 beagleboards.
  13. Configured, made, and installed hamlib on beagleboard running Angstrom. Tomorrow we will attempt to control a radio with rigctl.
  14. @carriecotter congratulations!
  15. @rwmcgwier so what remains is, as @mustbeart says, is a Simple Matter Of Programming.
  16. @rwmcgwier beagleboard will run ic-r7100 that will scan 70cm and log activity. Gathering cables now. R7100 does return s-meter over CIV.
  17. @rwmcgwier at least at first. This is to monitor 70cm ATV frequencies to build a case to go coordinated or not with MEPable ATV.
  18. @rwmcgwier that's what it looked like! I think we are going to write a dedicated c program to run a spectrum monitor instead of hamlib ...
  19. Trying to find out more about hamlib.
  20. Fixed printer problem, next up is heading to Library Duty at school (monitoring first grade as they have their turn in the school library).
