  1. Seems like Lady Gaga is in a bad romance...
  2. www.strongboxwest.com looks an awful lot like ... www.ignitionalley.com ...
  3. Thinking about Social VPNs and tunneling ISDN Q.931 (D) over Twitter using base64/uuencode for a truly convergent IP-in-the-loop solution.
  4. @jgehlbach I am deeply envious. I really miss such weather and wish we had it down here. And more grey. Cloudy days are my favourite.
  5. At Alpha Soda in Alpharetta meeting with a customer.
  6. Is the CIA following you on Twitter? http://mashable.com/2009/12/02/eff-government-lawsuit/
  7. @jangchoe Or something like that. Anyway, it's hard to put serious work into a quality ecosystem when the critical mass is elsewhere.
  8. @jangchoe It's just an issue of market size/maturity. The iPhone App Store selection is 2x+ bigger than the next 10 competitors combined.
  9. @jangchoe Almost any of the app ecosystems for the other platforms are going to be quite bad.
  10. I had no idea XMPP servers federate via SRV by default without being explicitly configured to do that. Thanks @kpfleming_twit!
  11. @greenrd I've never figured out the authorial intent of The Register. Is it basically the 4chan of the UK newspaper publishing business?
  12. I wish resolv.conf had an easy way to anchor certain types of DNS queries (SRV, in-addr.arpa, particular SOAs) to particular servers.
  13. @greenrd The part I object to is the "Four Hour" dimension. It seems to me one outsources so one can focus on what occupies their 50 hr wk.
  14. @greenrd I can't disagree with that, especially as an entrepreneur. And it doesn't mean you're lazy to farm out administrativia, errands...
  15. @greenrd Worthwhile part of the message is about economic efficiency in general; divest yourself of non-core competencies _when possible_.
  16. @greenrd Agreed. "The Four Hour Work Week" is pretty ridiculous, even if there is a micro-kernel of truth somewhere in there.
  17. Summation of @IgnitionAlley night shift in Quiet Room at 6 AM - it is cold. Very cold.
  18. Three Simple Rules for Stealing My Money: http://www.cringely.com/2009/12/three-simple-rules-for-stealing-my-money/
  19. @ashwhite Regarding phpmyadmin, there are some great GUI front-ends for PostgreSQL, so switch now. #helpful
  20. The @IgnitionAlley graveyard shift - commencing soon.
