@ SVG is allowed in HTML now. If they didn't want it I suppose they would have objected. But I don't really know.

@ At the very least screen readers should document how to make them work the way you want, ay? :)

1st simple step to make GUI toolkit accessible on Win can be MSAA for widget+focus support. IA2 phase 2 for docs & more.

MSAA is the foundation for IA2 support in any app. IA2 was purposely built to extend MSAA & still be almost same as ATK/AT-SPI.

@ How well does handle heuristics & user settings for non- live pages. Use Firefox's event-from-input hint?

@ Perhaps browsers just need to lighten their iframe impls & HTML should add new iframe layout abilities. Back-compat.

@ Scoping in HTML would be powerful. Impls would need to modify their id/class optimizations. Scope could dynamically change.

How about all OSs settle on Alt/Cmd+F5 to toggle screen reader? OS X already does. Blind users could launch w/o knowing OS.

Microsoft should join Mac & Linux and bundle a screen reader for basic needs. Blind users are users like everyone else.
