ZombieHunterLA

  1. with the sun waxing & waning behind the clouds, it's hard to tell what time it is this morning. if it even is morning....
  2. the warm morning sun feels good though. my face flushes with the heat for a second...then the sun moves behind some clouds *sigh*
  3. a sunbeam trickles in brightly through the window, right into my eyes, blinding me for a second, enough for me to squint & cover my face
  4. the zombies are obviously still milling about, but less frenzied now that we're still & quiet, but their hollow eyes never leave us
  5. i put it off to the side & for once, i'm kind of at a loss. i start swinging my legs & looking at pete & looking down, like "ok, now what?"
  6. i put the rest of the granola bars back in the backpack just in case & even threaded nylon rope to the straps to keep it safe up here
  7. i mean...who knows how *long* we'll be up here. gotta be smart & conserve what little food supply i thankfully found for us
  8. more like i hand pete *one* granola bar. he devours it & asks for another. i knew not to give him 5 all at once. i put the rest back in...
  9. like an idiot, even starving, i look at each one to select a flavor. mmmm...chocolate chip, yup, that's for me! i hand the rest to pete
  10. oh snap! there's a fistful of granola bars in here! i fish around & end up pulling out 5 of them. i don't think my eyes had been so big!
  11. this is fun! i reach for the backpack to pull out another book, but then i hear a weird crackle at the bottom of the bag. i put my hand in..
  12. ughhh...when the book hits, his skull just splits like a rotten eggshell & then he topples over like a tree. timbeerrrr! wow...that easy?
  13. i find a huge bodybuilder-sized zombie under me...really gross-looking. i drop the heavy book right on top of his huge head
  14. the zombies have been milling around more & are kinda dispersed instead of tightly clustered below us. i have to move around to target one
  15. don't need books. i have fun for a few seconds picking out zombies right below me to target. books as zombie weapons, who woulda thunk it?
  16. i pull out a couple of the books...hmmm, looks like some complicated economics stuff. well, i am at harvard after all
  17. i heave the heavy backpack over next to me & start to dig through the contents. mostly textbooks...no wonder so heavy >:/
  18. after we have our laugh, i turn to the *other* item that got me into this trouble in the 1st place & the zombies are still in a frenzy about
  19. i laugh despite myself as the plastic bottle bounces off the zombie's head and makes a weird squishy, yet clangy noise. i smile back at pete
  20. in my own thoughtless frustration, i grab the empty bottle from pete, crush it, throw it down & hit a zombie on the head...it's oblivious
