  2. Irene 300km radar stuck at 19h51. 50km radar still working . Storm decreased further in intensity.
  3. Intensity of the Gauteng storm decreased in areas. Intensity still high on the western flank of the storm.
  4. Storm also active between Newcastle and Amersfoort. Volksrust area. Monitor this storm.
  5. The Guateng storm is still active and intense in areas. Hail still possible.

  14. Merritt Island tracking data just acquired Atlantis. The shuttle is exactly where it should be. Eleven minutes to touchdown.

  16. As the atmosphere slows Atlantis, heat outside the shuttle builds to around 2,500 degrees F.
  17. Atlantis is 240,000 feet in altitude and traveling at 16,000 mph over the South Pacific.
