  1. When we unzipped the tent door, a huge flock of robins was all over the yard. Full sun. 3 degrees.
  2. Woke to birds singing, a woodpecker pecking, and a squirrel rustling in the leaves (no snow yet!).
  3. Delightful cozy night with our lions and tigers and bears Giant Scarf over our heads. 3 degrees!
  4. Two more nights to go, and tonight it will drop to 7 degrees F! Giant Scarf and quilt needed on top of Teton!
  5. For past two nights we have been back in the tent! Jessi's away on a trip with the MHS Band / Color Guard!
  6. The National Wildlife Federation's "Great American Backyard Campout" is TONIGHT!!! Be there!!!
  7. Back in the tent. Day 2. Glorious rainfall with thunder.
  8. Dome Down Day. 53 minutes single-handed, including metal spars only.
  9. Yellow Spotted Salamanders... About 50 of them within a square yard... Congressing... Love 'n the Spring. Happy Anniversary!!!
  10. First "Salamander Rain"! Saw ~20 Yellow-Spotted Salamanders in Virginia Woods pools. Bring on the congressing!

  13. Evening of day 594... Our tent's second door zipper completely failed. Had to sleep with that door open all night.

  18. 14 degrees F is toasty in Teton double-wide bag! Especially with fleece blanket draped around our shoulders.
  19. 25 degrees, new low, last night.
  20. Rain delighted us this morn! The tree over our tent has lost it's leaves, so now the rain drops fall on the fly more lovely-ly.
