  1. @cannonsr Thanks. Hopefully other classes will be more humored. ;-)
  2. @cannonsr Thanks for the additional periodic tables! Good stuff.
  3. Tough crowd this morning. Didn't even get a chuckle for the Periodic Table of Elephants. #IsThisMicOn?
  4. @Twilliamson15 Just picked that one up today as well. :-)
  5. Putting together a list of non-traditional periodic tables for my students tomorrow (a la http://bit.ly/a6rpU.) Know of any good ones?
  6. @dancallahan Ha! Think of all the laptops MS Office license money could buy...
  7. Started using Open Office today. Super easy. I'm surprised more schools don't use it.
  8. @sanmccarron Yeah, I should've done that. Right now I'm going off the image use policy which says no names w/ faces.
  9. @sanmccarron Hopefully. I can't find any official school policies re: student videos. Need to do some checking around.
  10. @sanmccarron There are also several groups extending their learning beyond the classroom day.
  11. @sanmccarron Some of the videos students are putting together are incredibly creative, using methods I'd never have thought up.
  12. What a weird day. Some great stuff; some not so great.
  13. @porchdragon Nice. I don't think we have a media Mac lab. I think there's a lab w/ editing software, but I'm not sure where.
  14. @porchdragon Yes, yes it would. It's a major pain in the butt. This has been the best advertisement for Macs I've heard yet.
  15. .@sethdickens Thanks! It looks good. I'll have to look into getting administrative access so I can download it.
  16. .@mcarls They need some codecs downloaded, unfortunately neither the students or I have the rights to do this.
  17. @sethdickens Any suggestions for Open Source editors?
  18. Two things I've learned: 1) The district clearly isn't thinking about students doing digital projects, 2) Don't do video projects (yet).
  19. The comedy of errors trying to do a video project continues. MovieMaker isn't recognizing MovieMaker files students worked on at home.
