  1. ... protect its habitat. 'Conserve for today and educate for tomorrow' is the only way forward. With passion and belief it will happen.
  2. But from now on we all have to do everything we can ( whilst spreading the word to others ) to actively conserve our wildlife and ...
  3. ..out to the wild and have a second chance. There is a great poem 'Starfish' that explains our work so well. Do look it up its worth a read
  4. ... to be able to help our wildlife where and how we can to ensure - in a small way that most are able to go back ....
  5. ... the next 7 weeks !! Then it will be manic for the next 7 months before it tails off again. I certainly feel so privileged......
  6. But in the background WA has time to repair and refurbish for the 2010 orphan season which is likely to start within ....
  7. From cold to white to cold and wet - not so many patients in today as everyone is tucked up warm and dry in their homes.

  10. As I've siad before hedgehog population in 1950- 36 million; in 2005 - 1.5 million; estimated in 2025 - ZERO !! Lets make them WRONG.
  11. Yet another 2 small hedgehogs in tonight both under 380 gms - keep keeping your eyes open they need your help.
  12. The deer had vanished and no sign of any accidents or any blood so a lucky escape from a potentially lethal situation.
  13. 2 deer on central reservation of major motorway , this could be a disaster and very dangerous, have asked for police attendance. On way now.
  14. ........to give sensible and ethical guidelines to tourists visiting countries where animal abuse is an all too common practice.
  15. Eco- tourism will be part of my mission for 2010. Not just 'lip service' to it but to try to get travel operators...
  16. truggling - thats a great word - I like it !! but better with the 's' prefix.
  17. Watch out in these cold nights for any wildlife that is truggling especially those underweight hedgehogs.
  18. Just had a call about 3 baby hedgehogs weighing about 350 gms. They will need to be overwintered without being allowed to hibernate.
  19. meanwhile we must all keep up the pressure to protect and campaign for wildlife and habitat preservation.
  20. Hopefully WA will be one of the survivors with a lot of diligent and financial control. It wont be an easy or pleasent ride though
