  1. @SimoleonSense I'd like to join SumZero.
  2. @valuestocks I hold $VXGN as well; I'm hoping the liquidators prevail.
  3. @Jae_Jun Re: $ASPN; but yes, I think it's more likely than not that they liquidate.
  4. @Jae_Jun Re: $ASPN; worst case timeline I believe, we wait until next year's annual meeting in Apr 2010. Biggest worry is an acquisition.
  5. Purchases this week: $MDZ, $ASPN, $MMCE; sales: $LMDIA/DTV long/short
  6. @farnamstreet Thanks for highlighting Mungerisms--http://mungerisms.blogspot.com/
  7. So I finally understand the Cerberus name. The three-headed dog is between the investor and his money. http://bit.ly/cEpEx
  8. @valuestocks Yep, that's right
  9. @valuestocks Let's say a company wants 5 million shares, but 10 million are tendered. Then each tenderer gets 50% cashed out, and 50% back
  10. @noisefreeinvest Thanks for the notes. I owe you one--pick the company, preferably with an annual meeting in an exotic locale.
  11. New blog post--a brief analysis of Tucows $TCX. http://widemoatinvesting.com
  12. @rationalwalk Read the $PAYX 10-K also. Earnings should really improve once short-term rates rise a bit. Great ROE, lots of cash flow.
  13. Limco-Piedmont $LIMC Files to Delist; more at the blog-- http://widemoatinvesting.com/
  14. New blog post--"What was Sam [Walton] Saying in 1977?"
  15. @rationalwalk Nice find; I'll check out Charlottesville libraries tomorrow, but I'm not optimistic
  16. New blog post--on shorting XTENT ($XTNT)
  17. @Greenbackd Not to doubt you, but where did you hear about $VXGN?
  18. @FatPitch Looking at the latest 10-q, the XTNT's royalties and operating leases are off balance sheet (see Note 7).
  19. @PlanMaestro I'm a buyer of QLTI at these levels... don't expect a VNDA though. After backing out the cash, very cheap. Tax conseq though
  20. @FatPitch I've looked at XTNT but worry there will nothing left at liquidation. Cash burn was high in Q1;and they owe 1.7 mill in royalties
