  2. Polished off some week-old leftovers (pasta w chicken sausage, zucchini + muschrooms) for dinner. Still alive--take that USDA!
  3. @straightbangin I feel you on the nasty teeth banner ads. Enough already.
  4. @mikepetrucelli to be fair, the dairy farmers are just going to "symbolically" dump a little. But still...
  5. Organic dairy farmers to dump milk in protest, then donate food. Why not donate milk and dump manure in protest? http://tinyurl.com/mocmbm
  6. Keep hope alive, @barn. And your eyes on the road.
  7. @djwaldow it is hard to eat healthy on a long drive, but I find Subway the lesser of evils. Also, you can explore a bit or supermark' it.
  8. Enjoyed a nice dinner with @barn and the gang. No Kool & the Gang playing at the diner, but still lots of fun.
  9. Probably the best goal I've ever seen. Just...Wow! http://bit.ly/1SSdPe
  10. @onlyburger offering a breakfast burger (made of eggs) at the Durham farmer's market. Interesting...When does a burger stop being a burger?
  11. If you'd like to talk to someone about food waste, @SCHNELLPRESS, DM me. Cheers.
  12. @earthdream, a garbage disposal is much better than just trashing your food waste (but not as good as composting).
  13. RT@mmorowitz 9,000 lbs of chinese food spilled on highway http://is.gd/1r6M3 ...searching for a pun..
  14. Excited to read a story on leftovers in the NYT. Odd piece, but it heats up half way in. http://tinyurl.com/klvnnb
  15. Finally found a good use for my fabled blue cheese--paired with watermelon in a salad. Tasty. Nod to Chapel Hill's Crook's Corner.
  16. First ripe cherry tomato of the season devoured. It's officially summer.
  17. I caught the first part of the radio documentary Five Farms by accident. Very glad I did. http://cds.aas.duke.edu/fiv...
  18. I read that page a few days ago, @lizaard and thought--more efficient and more convienient--so why didn't we always have bottom freezers?
  19. Great answer: RT @broylesa To keep young children in constant search of ice cream and popsicles from being able to get to them.
  20. @mimiw @cooking manager, the top freezer must be the most efficient, as it was THE design for so long. But puzzling. I need a fridge expert.
