  7. 11/6 cloudy. Eider @ the mouth of the Tahquamenon River late this AM. As of 1 PM it was easily visible from the boat launch. http://wpbo.org
  8. 11/5 snow today; 50 degree temps forecasted for the weekend. 381 Goldeneye on Tues; Spruce Grouse and Bohemian Waxwing seen. http://wpbo.org
  9. 11/3 cloudy 50 loons in the last two hours of the count on Monday. 77 Loons were seen total- 70 Common and 7 Red-throated. http//wpbo.org
  10. 11/2 rain. Yesterday's highlight: Western Grebe in the harbor. 601 Bufflehead, 843 Red-breasted Merganser on 10/31. WP count concludes 11/15
  11. 10/23 cloudy. Yesterday was great for the wb count: 6219 Long-tailed Ducks and 69 Black Scoters.
  12. 10/22 cloudy. Great Long-tailed duck movement at WB count yesterday- over 2100 birds seen.
  13. 10/16 sunny. RBA: First ever record for Whitefish Point of a Tufted Titmouse this afternoon. Seen at WB count.
  14. 10/16 partly sunny. 6 Saw-whet Owls banded last night. Program alert: Owls-Myths and Legends on Sat. at 7:30pm.
  15. 10/12 cloudy. 5 Saw-whet Owls banded last night.
  16. 10/8 cloudy. Crazy day: Scissor-tailed flycatcher, Boreal Owl, Hawk Owl, Red Phalarope and Short-eared Owl seen from WB count! See blogs.
  17. 10/8 cloudy. Just posted a photo of the scissor-tailed on wpbo.org under the News tab. More photos later from Chris.
  18. 10/8 cloudy. RBA: Scissor-tailed flycatcher spotted at WB count this morning at 11:15am. Also, Short-eared Owl seen flying over the lake.
  19. 10/8 cloudy. 3 Saw-whet Owls and 1 Barred Owl banded last night.
  20. 10/4 cloudy. 3 Harlequin Ducks flew by this morning during the WB count.
