@ I have several custom feeds and some may/may not contain the sensitive info.The DB is entirely made up of these ETL tables.

@ I brought that up, but I think the nature of the ETL processes being custom, there is not a common set of tables to encrypt

I have to turn TDE on for a 3 TB DB. Does anyone have a general idea of how long it will take? I realize there are many factors.

@ The biz key is internally assigned by src sys.Lots of analysis uses that key to return to src system.Might help to chg

@ The Biz key is a BigInt and could probably be PK.Fact table has a PK on NClust surrogate col BigInt.

Is there any good reasons to have FACT table in a DW that is stored as a heap? Its only 1/2 billion rows? Wanting to cluster it.
