  1. My entry: "OPPORTUNITY -- Is the team worth joining? Is the performance truly awesome? Or is it really just a great big bunch of hot air?"
  2. Retweet: @wailinglist Write the best caption for this Demotivator & win $500! http://cli.gs/0rygUY
  3. I would say I have the meagerest appreciation for the value of a day. But perhaps that's the closest one ever gets. Possibility is all.
  4. See Dollhouse episode 6. Hear Greg Laswell's "Sweet Dream". Can any joy ever surpass giving someone you really love what they really want?
  5. The more important the thing to say, do, be, the less I feel able*. (*In both senses of the word, ability and permission.)
  6. Love is like a flood. Rearranges everything when it arrives. More when it leaves.
  7. I feel like I'm 98% superman, hunting for the pocket where kryptonite hides.
  8. @communicatrix The communi- part means you say something like this. The -atrix part means you don't tell us where you found those tweets.
  9. Hiking and climbing in prep for ascent of Mount Monadnock (3166ft). In a race today up Mount Bradbury (485 ft), Izzy (youngest) won!
  10. Reveling in the irony of blogging (and twittering) about my new time management trick: pretending I'm already expert at choosing what to do.
  11. 'One Child' by teacher/angel/author Torey Hayden. Could not put it down. If any of her books should be movie-fied, this one should.
  12. "Stumbling on Happiness" by Daniel Gilbert. Exquisite ideas (here and now = frontal lobotomy) and sense of humor, including the cover.
  13. ...just posted 32 hot new ads for MySQL cheatsheets. May show up on mysql.com in a few days. Going to go run of my angst up Cox Pinnacle.
  14. As a typical, pathetic example of Homo Economicus, my mood rises and falls with the sales. And this week they're decidedly brooding. But...
  15. Wrangling printers. Caught up printing. Supplies well stocked. Great new slogans for MySQL ad (by betting myself I couldn't).
  16. Finished the first newfangled MySQL ad. Why did I ever think this was going to be quick & easy?
  17. Printing, cutting, emails, orders, other red-queen catch-up. Envigged on coffee and morning-run-smugness and 76-degree breezes.
  18. Fitness milestone: I can now run past my neighbors without much fear of collapsing into a wheezing gelatinous blob in front of their houses.
  19. About exactly a day late shipping orders, as is usual when the fulfillment department (my lovely wife) is out of town.
  20. New ads simmering well. It's school ordering season, some big orders. Blog distractions -- or is everything else a distraction from blogs?
